Bunaken, It means Beauty!

06 Sep

one place that I want to visit at least once in my life time, is Bunaken.. The opportunity was came to me at August this year . Oucchh , you know what, it totally awesome,. Don’t know the words that will describe it. Hardly can say it in a blog post. Very recommended for you that love beach and sea a lot..  :D

Departed from Jakarta at Indonesia’s Independence Day, with full of  flight services from GIA, landing in the middle of the rain, the smell of beach was very obvious. First day, after take care Hotel’s administration, hunting a sunset in Boulevard. A well known region in Manado, with direct view of sunset.

Lil’ view from my camera at 17th of August Sunset in Boulevard

DAY 2 :
A Journey to Bunaken and Liang Beach

Let’s we talk about how much Bunaken give a good view, both Underwater view and its panoramic view..Really explain how much Allah was giving Indonesia with a lot of resource and heaven’s view. Even if my skin burned, but It worthed enough with the sensation that I felt.

Banjarmasin, Crazy Journey to Floating Market

26 Aug

Morning 11th Aug ‘09 , at 4 a.m. +7 GMT

I has been wake up in the middle of my unconsciousness.
Yup, that day was hunting time :D

Walked from Grand Mentari hotels near Antasari Street at 4.30 a.m. , cut accross the darkness night of Banjarmasin, me and Mr. Edy with bag and camera full loaded were starting our hunting time. The target are floating point and kembang island.

Almost 2 hours, we walked, through Old Market, and at least, at 6.00 a,m we arrived at a little harbour. In that place, we rent a boat that would take us travelling on barito’s river. Hmm it was first time I saw buyer and seller get together on a river, to selling and buying each other on their shallop. I just humble, are they can swim or not?just imagine if something happen to their boat..they will fall into deep water indeed.

Jakarta Night View Part I

25 Jun

at June 18th started from Medan Merdeka Barat crossed Thamrin Street and finished at Bundaran HI, I walked with bro Itok to capture night view surrounding that area. It started at twilight and finished almost at 9.00 pm

The Buildings seem so colorful, and of course at lot of ’speed’ of light captured there. It was a first time I tried to monumentalize night view in the biggest city in Indonesia. In circumstances, tripod is a gear that we must bring, cos we dealing with a low exposure and of course, slow speed must be setted.

Began from monas from my office building’s rooftop. It no need a special licensing from building owner and its security officer, cos we have known each other :D Read the rest of this entry »

Understanding Jurnalistic Photography

12 Mar

Yesterday, I intended repairing my camera censor to a photography center retail in Duta Merlin. I had chatted with its marketing staff before, and he said that my stuff can be repair in his place for about 1 day. But when I came there, I dissapointed, because what the man said in chat, is different with the real conditions. The retail only can repair Canon stuff, and it needs 1 weeks to clean it. With a sloppy face, I continued to go to Photography Exhibition in Antara.

Dropped in Antara Photography Exhibition with my friend at 5 p.m. , after talk a while with ma ex-office’s friend of my friend :P   , I go through the lobby aim to gallery. Hmm, themes of this exhibition was Tibet’s journey. A lot of B/W photos that taken with 35mm camera. The grain effect of it, make it became more artistic. But, I had a little confiusness, I don’t really blend in this themes. Mind set of me, still can’t accept the philosophy that included in Jurnalistic photos. When attended in Focus Exhibition, that  show of masterpiece of Darwis’s students, I feelt ‘Wow’, it’s so amazing. .

A coffe break and little talk with my friend and gallery man, I knowing even if at a glance, that the Jurnalistic Photography, mainly talked ’bout the content of photo.. the picture that can give a story to people who see it. I must see deeply to the photos, so that I can see, how beautiful it is. Hahaha, rather makes me dizzy, I’m not reach that level yet :(

One of photographer that show of the masterpiece in this exhibition is Jay Subiakto. And you know what,  come and see this , he’s damn right about a photography stuff , i agree 1000 percent with his opinion :D Photography is about expression and feelin’

The night would came soon, I decided to go back and rest. But you know what, I meet a person that would repair ma camera. He’s actually Nikon guys and became technician for Antara. Little check and nego, he told that tommorow, I can get my camera repaired..Wew, not took a long time until I gave my camera to him. Friday 13th, me and difo will be ready for hunting session in ma office roof top.  :D

[MAKRO] Use Reversed Lens ..:: Nikon AFS 18-55mm+ Fix 50mm 1.8

15 Feb

This week, at least i finished ma experimentally project to make a makro lens use couple ring. Yup, the other methods to build makro lens (besides use original makro lens indeed, huhu it’s costly :(   ) is to join two lens filters face to face, so that one of lens attached inverserdly. Generally, it called reversed lens method.

Lets now begin to make it.

1. Prepare lens filters that will be treated as a bridge to join lenses. Notes that we need to pay attention bout lens diameter. Make sure it compatible. In ma case, I use Lens kit of D40 that has 52mm size in it and Nikon Fix lens 50mm:1.8 that has 52mm size too. I use UHU glue to stick the filter on. Remember to let-off the filter glass.

** i bought lens filter IDR 10.000 in Pasar Baru with a barst in filter glass. we don’t need it glass, so it doesn’t matter indeed :D

2. After you had finished, make sure it completely dry. Oks now you can try to it. I use Lens Kit attached in body and fix lens in front of Lens kit inversedly. It appeared like this :

3. Oks when it had attached now, I use to set my lens kit in its max focal length and aperture between 11.0 to 22.0 (to get DOF as i expected) while front lens, i set it in maximal aperture (1.8) and focus length to infinity. In this case, i use manual focus. It will be difficult to make it in AF mode while we catch  a small object that move very fast.MF make it faster. Sometimes we need to move camera forward or backward to make an object focussed. Its focus range between 5 to 10 cm,weww.. it’s so close with object :D

setting

NB : when it needs to get close with an object, i must be very carefull when try to capture a flying bug or other (the are became mousy when i come near :D ) .. patient patient..practise practise .. huhhuhu .. more and more practise, i think it will make me accustomed with this condition

[MACRO] Use AF70-300MM F/4-5.6 Di LD MACRO 1:2

11 Feb

see a lot of Macro photo’s Post in FN, really buzz me, wow its amazing.. Its detail descript very well.. When travell at mutun i tried to make a photos with macro theme, of course use Macro feature in Tamron lens..

I used autofocus when try to capture an insect that always moving..wew, its make my eyes stiff when try to compo it from view finder..it’s really need effort :D

Not after long, i try to make it manually..it’s become much easier, cos focussing object became more quickly (and not really make ma eye became stiffy :P ) ..  when i decided to use its lens, i realized that it has a pricipal weakness..Minimum focus range is almost 1.5m both use manual or AF ..wew what a range,, so that i can’t yielding magnification as i excepcted.. Here it is the insect that i captured use Tamron :

Macro 1

Think and think, how to make an object magnification as i expected .. I found method that maybe i can use in ma next macro themes..

28 Jan

Liburan imlek ini, Alhamdulillah dapet juga kesempatan untuk mengunjungi Lampung. Jumat (23/1) broder di kantor ngajakin buat jalan menikmati bumi Indonesia. Me reschedule ulang acara wiken, akhirnya jadi juga kita berangkat. Sabtu pagi (24/1) pukul 07.30, Slipi Jaya menjadi meeting point kita. Tak lama berselang, kita naek bus menuju Merak Harbour. Perjalanan melewati Serang, Cilegon, ditempuh dalam waktu hampir 2 jam an. Pukul 09.30, kita sampe di Merak, belanja sedikit cemilan buat di kapal (Bala-bala, pisang goreng, cireng, tempe goreng).

Day 1 [24 Januari 2009] .. Trip to Mutun Beach and Tangkil Island

BakauHeni

Jalur asli angkot sebenarnya enggak liwat ke komplek pantainya, and musti nerusin perjalanan dengan jalan kaki hampir 3km an buat nyampe pantai. Cuman karena dah kelewat sore, akhirnya kita mutusin buat dianterin sampe ke pantenya dengan nambah ongkos 5 rebo. Total kita bayar 10rb jadinya.

Masuk ke muntu, kita bayar tiket @5rebo perak, jeprat sana-sini :D

Bro ItoOkiMe

New Lens for Di Fourthy : AF70-300MM F/4-5.6 Di LD MACRO 1:2 (MODEL A17NII) WITH BUILT-IN MOTOR FOR NIKON

06 Jan

Huehue, at least i’ve the time to release ma nu gadget. Actually, it came to me in the end of this year at December..but because stuck around in office and had a lot of journey :D  this post shut-in in ma database.

I’ve got this lens from ma broder in Gresik. A Tamron lens with macro features and optimal until 15 metres to zoom out. Its focal length came from 70 until 300 mm..huhhuu,long enough to make a snapshot in swimming pool :P

Besides, i’m very interesting with its built motor to make focussing object became more easy use autofocus indded. When still use Nikon 80-300mm G AF (G series  without autofocus motor), i always worried for made a mistakes in focusing object see here in ma last post

But with built in motor in Tamron, those problem slow but sure, had been overcome :D .. Although, i keept learn to use manual focus..cos in the real event, auto needs much longer time to focussing an object than manual.. But will see :D :D
